He was taking the weight out and taking some fuel out. His first run was full of fuel, added weight to the boat and it still ran good and it's not close to being set up right yet. Plus Eddie was going to get it off regular gas and put it on race fuel and turn it up. Hopefully he got his starter problem fixed?

Still a great run.

You sure that isn't suppose to be 6300 rpm? 5300 sounds really low

skate 08-25-2013 04:08 PM

That was my point he had a lot To go if he was spinning a 42" prop. Congrats that's great! Can someone post a video of his runs?? Thanks we missed you guys. Will is really doing better

blume 08-25-2013 06:32 PM

Orthobam 08-25-2013 07:33 PM

What a way to introduce the model... and not a lot of seat time compared to some of the boats/ companies running the shootout. Louie look pretty stoked at the awards!

Conrat's!

ttuton 08-25-2013 07:48 PM

Congrats to a local Illinois boater! Wish I could have been there!

It's not even close to being dialed in at all and seat time has been very limited. He got the props from Hering to try Thursday night and didn't run them till his first run on Saturday..................it has a lot left in it. Here's how it all starts.

precisiondetails 08-25-2013 08:11 PM

What was the speed?

blume 08-25-2013 08:56 PM

164mph and pulling hard.

Blume what pitch and rake were the Herrings?

That boats going to spank a lot of folks.

Lake rat Skater 08-26-2013 06:57 AM

Skate this has to make you feel good knowing your 338 is going to be a monster as well. What did your motors dyno at? Both you and louie are using 4 liter whipples right?

Thanks for the complement Doc, it really is a cool little boat and when it gets dialed in it is really going to go. I looked for you but the lake is a big place, had a new 46' there I was having to keep close to make sure all was good. Back is great and your an artist when it comes to back issues. Hope to see you in KW.

Blume
PS, all your boats looked great as usually.

RVRCAT28 08-26-2013 01:48 PM

Thanks Blume and congrats to Skater for a great weekend. Skater rules!

Ryan Beckley 08-26-2013 03:54 PM

So do we have a run down of who did what? I saw a few runs , but I know there were more..... lets get this list going, who were class winners?

36'- D'Annabelle / STERLING - 195mph
388 - Dirty Duck - ?
338 - Louie - 164mph
32' - Gone Again - 177mph
24' - Skater 121mph

RVRCAT28 08-26-2013 04:11 PM

Dirty Duck was low 140's I believe and was trying props,on Saturday, did not hear anything else after that.

SummerObsession 08-26-2013 04:30 PM

Dirty Duck went 147, tons left there.

My boat with 1100's went 147. Wish we would have had more test time and the right props. Should have hit 150 easy enough. Still a good run.

LV 08-26-2013 04:42 PM

Garth ran 167 I believe is his white 36 classic.

Orange quatro 08-26-2013 05:17 PM

Is that the one with 1650 Mercury engines?

precisiondetails 08-26-2013 06:18 PM

No boat had 1650s.

LV 08-26-2013 07:43 PM

Garth is running smith power 1300's., his shootout props where damaged like a ton of other people with all the trash, I believe he could have gotten in the 170's with those wheels.
The only 1650 boat was the Outerlimits V bottom with a run of 149mph.(impressive)

Rik 08-26-2013 08:24 PM

None of the Skaters had the Mercury 1650's at the Shootout.

Slug (388) has the Mercury 1350's
Summer OB (40) has the Merc 1100's
Gone Again (32A) has Sterling 1500's
D'Annaballe (36) has Sterling 1700's
Louie (338) has Eddie Young 1,000's
Garth (36) has Brad Smith 1200's
24' Skater has Merc Outboards
Gary Smith (40) has Carson Brummet Turbo 16-1700's
