thanks. was curious about it. wondering what they found as they ran it and how it performed compared to the current hulls
curious how the 15" mids will change the set up from the 20" standard. guess he'll mod the power head too huh.

Mad EFI makes 15" midsections for 3.0 liter mercury outboards. You can cut oem mids down but it is a better option to use the mad efi mids. They even have a mid that used a 3.0 powerhead and a 2.5 lower since the 2.5 sportmaster does not normally have as many issues as the 3.0 sportmaster.
As far as the original 30 skater prototype from what I heard it flat out hulls the mail. I think it has naturally aspirated sterling motors that make around 800 hp each and I think t ran around 160 mph!!!

Maybe a little handling due to the lower center of gravity.
Also on a standard 28 like mine if i were to go to 15"s my motors would be very close to the water and using it the way I do I do not think that is a good idea since I do not boat on a lake.

I think $1400 per 15" mid is a lot to pay for "cool" lol. and yea it'd be close to the water LOL.
that prototype was hauling azz. what did the 338 run at the shoot out again??? and what was the hp in it???
