Blume, didn't you sell Skaters for years???

The newer 32b is wider at 9' 4" iirc.

Well your wrong on the classic. Classic is a deck design not a model...........ie: 32A or 32B.
Classic deck or flat deck.

Blume, was a late 80's 32A 8'6"? Yes or No?

When they went to the B model in the late 90's it was widened, but its a simple question, was a late 80's to late 90's 32A 8'6" wide????

I agree with Scot, but what do I know. The original question wasn't about current production boats, it was about older models that ceased production in the late 90's. I don't think anybody is arguing that a current production 32 is wider......

I went back over the whole thread and the majority of the thread is about the 32A. Sport the 32A is the width you are saying it is and I needed to read the whole thread before commenting. The 32A and 32B can both be classics and it's confusing at best. Flightplan congratulations on your new Skater it's a good looking boat.

Adam,

Peter built the 32a into the 2000's. The two 32a's from CT you probably see at Claudio's and the Pavilion all the time are both 2002's. With that said, I don't know when the last 32a was built. My guess is if someone had cash in their hand, Peter would still build them a 32a today! :D

Thanks Blume. I couldn't pass it up. Do you have someone that could finish the rigging, and baby these 300x's back to life? I bet your shop is swamped right now.

My 1999 32 was 8'6" wide. The boat in the first post is clearly 8'6". It is no wider than the trailer that is 8'6" legal size limit.

I would pull your suction return fuel tank covers and look at the tanks asap. this is what mine looked like and they were not suppose to be epoxy tanks (I checked with peter before I purchased) and they were not suppose to have had any ethanol ever put in them. I believe harry when he said he never put any in them, but I do not believe any stations when the advertise non-ethanol gas!

I dont understand all the fuss about fuel tanks. I found a couple of these at a pretty reasonable price. I'm golden!:party-smiley-004:

:lolhit::lolhit::lolhit:

those will be better in the long run, if the give you a problem just replace them...but how many 6 gallon tanks will you need? and that's and antique right there isn't it?

Flightplan 04-16-2014 11:16 AM

I will of course put a Mercury Racing sticker on them. No way that Evinrude crap is going in my boat.
