Yea I noticed that after you pointed it out. Looks like you can probably cross them to opposite sides of trailer and it would actually work better.

Love the black on the dash...that's going to take that glare off for sure! how's the visibility with the rap around?

Visibility with the windshield is great. I was used to riding in my Checkmate at 80 plus and its windshield was just a diverter. Was not meant to drive from behind it looking thru. It was awesome at 110mph plus sitting behind the windshield and just enjoying the ride. No wind in face at all. A slight breeze in cockpit and its almost like the windshield is not even there. I would definitely give up the extra mph for the wind protection. Its kinda like driving a gigantic Corvette with the seats the way they are way down and they totally hug you in tight. I can't imagine driving along at 100 mph or 85mph for that matter for an hour plus without a full windshield. Like I said I did it in my checkmate for maybe 10 min at a time and it got old real quick.

Here are some pics from the day of the photoshoot at Merc Racing. The boat coming in and out of the water. These are not the pics for the photoshoot. They are just my personals.

Is the angle of the windshield in keeping with Skater's canopy? It looks super laid back so far!!!

The windshield was originally left higher at the rear as they thought it might keep the wind off the passengers in the rear seats. When it was driven they found out it actually made a heavy buffiting effect on the rear passengers ears and did not cut the wind down that much. We discussed it back at the factory and decided to cut the rear swept back portion down farther on a greater angle to stop the wind situation. The covers for the cockpit and whole boat needed to be adjusted. I believe that these are the pics of that process.

I believe you're asking about the front of the winshield at the beginning of the cockpit. I was told it is the same cockpit as the 388 Skater. It does look really swept back in that one photo though. As far as I know it is also the same windshield as the 388. One thing nice about the widened boat is that the cockpit is huge compared to the regular 30 footer. The dash is also much nicer as they have the speedos and tack mounts up high so you can see them. When I ordered the boat I was told by Pete that the cockpit was going to be the same as the reg 30 foot flat deck. At some point they decided to use the upgraded dash and widen it to get 4 bolster seats back there. I think it was a wise choice. Makes it look so much better.
