Default A Sneak Peak

Since you guys got the popcorn and I finally got security clearance I can release this video. Sam has some Garmin on board video footage as well that will get posted when he gets her home.
Boat looked great in flat water and in the ocean. We ran side by side in 2-3"s cruising 70mph and ran up to 85+ a few times. Boat flew great.
Had a great time hanging out and I am sure he will give the full report when he gets her home sometime tomorrow.
Look forward to hanging out again soon.

Conversion completed and I can't say enough about how positive an experience I had with John Tomlison, Gary and the entire crew at TNT Custom Marine. They performed the work on time as planned and within the qoute given. It was executed beautifully with no detail left un done. John spent the better part of two days on the water with me testing. Mercury sent two sets of their custom cutdown #6 props that Steve used and I had a set I purchased from Dave Dewald. Dave also came thru as he expedited the prop fabrication and shipping. We changed props on the water from a support boat the came back and changed lower unit rotation and did it all over again. I installed Bobs Machine shop manual Extreme Jack plates. We adjusted the hieght between runs spinning in and out. John treated me like I owned a 46'er!

Bottom line we hit a best of 106 at 6400 RPM with 3 sets of 33" props with of 60 gallons fuel. They claim heat and humidity is a small factor for the supercharged engines but I bet a nice cool dry fall day we will see those numbers increase over the conditions of a Miami summer day. John wants a set of 32-31's to get the RPMs to the power band. If I can spin 32 or 31 and keep the same prop slip we may see 108-112 at max RPM. The boat accelerates and handles very well. Ron and I ran outside together from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale with some good seas. I was impressed with the balance that the forward position of CG that we strived for during the Boat Customs conversion. Porpoise was also minimized spinning in.

These things are QUITE. At idle and 100+ MPH you can carry on a conversation in the front seats.

Ron Muller is the man! Not only did help with the original flat deck conversion from designing the electronics, supplying them, but he also did last second run downs in Miami for custom parts that I needed overnight. He consulted with Gary at TNT Custom Marine on the new set up for the 400Rs and cleaned up my electronic issues that I had from doing it myself! He Tom and his son Ethan were gracious host and I can't thank him enough.
