I'm just giving you a hard time. Look how often I get over there and don't get a chance to stop by....

I luv the comment about the color of the water over here. Everywhere else I go in the state it's nice and clear except for here.

Default Prop update

After reading Steve's post and not doing much with my boat last few months got motivated to finish dialing in this rig. Going to NC in August to run with Rob's new boat. Spoke to Dave Dewald and ordered some new props to try. He is nearing completion of new 5 blade CNC over the hub cleavers. 16 degree rake.
Been running 14.5 diameter 29's. Ordered 32p 15"s to see what happens with a little more engine height.
Hope to have them in the coming weeks along with my new set backs.

Ron I thought you weren't going to tell these guys about Dave making new props until we got ours first! Lol

Double Rigged, I just tried my Dewald over the hub 5 blade 14.5 x 31's on my 30' Spectre with Opti's last month. The boat ran very good. I only have one day of running on them. I am very please with them so far. The mid range is unbelievable. I was running Merc labbed 3 blade cleavers 15X30. I am curious to see how they perform on your boat. Good luck.

Prop update: Tested a pair of Dewald 15"+ 32"p/5 Blade thru-hub cleavers on Lake Norman good results. Cruising speed very good 92mph at 5000rpm/6 percent slip. Looking forward to trying over the hubs too in the future.

Dale got some 5 blade Dewalds 14 5/8 x 32 for me to try on Saturday morning. If I get even close to your cruise speed I will be thrilled. Your boat looks awesome. I heard Mean Pair might even show up and do a little testing also.

Did a little maintenance on the CMC Set Backs today. removed all bolts and cleaned and greased with Mercury Xtreme Grease. Moved them up and down and greased those threads too. Bolts were gettting a little stiff.
Back to moving like butter. Dialed in height and toe. Ready to test some more props!
