Default Tunnel Vision DW/308 Skater

Was down at TNT the other day and had a chance to compare Gary Ballough's new 32 DW side by side with a 308 Skater. It is easy to see why they are fast. You can see the difference in deadrise as well as the sheer size of the sponsons. The cockpit on the 308 is much larger and deeper also.
Pretty cool to see.

Great shots...the dimension difference is not as extreme as the 32/28 skater but in keeping to explain the generated speed differences with given power bolted to the transom.... that said, having more boat and deadrise in snotty seas - without a doubt, in a Skater you are going to enjoy/survive the ride home ( as well as the passengers) that are not strapped in.

Both are beautiful boats IMHO.

would like to see skate and nastys 308/318 flat decks next to the DW . my 308 is a classic deck like the one in the pics...never been next to Kaps PR addition with mine when it was down here but could tell the difference when I looked at it up close at blood river marina. both the 308 and the DW are beautiful boats in their own right...but it's a skater nation right!

The best comparison would be my boat next to the 308 and 318. Gary's boat is more cut down than mine, has less deadrise and I believe was meant to get 15" mids.

Skater looks like it can handle some bigger water though. Would be neat to see the side by side with the new 318 with the 61" tunnel.

Hey K, There is a pic of my boat on my build thread looking straight down the tunnel. Maybe somebody can export it. Im not a computer guy so i would be no help there. The tunnel on that DW is quite big. Great shots there side by side.
