Taboma, I agree with you, the feel was more wetted, stuck to the water without sacrificing top speed. Props were spinning outward, I do remember a discussion about setting the boat up this way for more ruff water applications.

It appears that Skater pretty much used around 51" centers.
Razors boat is 51-5/8" according to Al Stoker who rigged it. Said it was pre drilled by Skater when he received the boat. The one that is set wider was also done at the factory so maybe they were playing with it. Was hoping Ron would find his old notes to see if that was played with on the race boat. Razor is in with Pete so maybe he can call and get the inside scoop as to weather there was any handling/running differences at different centers. |
