I have to say the boat drove really nice. The electronic throttle shifts and power steering is awesome.
As Bill said for those who are honest with the speeds 308's run with 300xs's or any other cat. I can tell you it is worth it. You cannot compare the two.
He has a good plan. It will be a runner.

Looks like I have some work to do on my set up.

Hey Ron, Glad you liked the motors. Is this the first 400 Boat you have driven. I have the Mercury Shifters in mine and think they work great. Love the electronic shift and throttles. They're so smooth. Great video and thanx for posting it. I have been talking to Billy on the phone for months now. He's a great person and a wealth of knowledge. Gonna run up to see him this Summer. He's only about an hour and a half from me by boat. Im so happy he finally got this done. I think he'll love it. Steve.

I am picking up the boat next week. Excited to run the verado motors, smooth with no stories or problems. I will start testing new props, and other ideas.

Sounds like you'll be making the switch to 400r soon.

Ron, what were your thoughts regarding the balance and attitude of the boat with the heavier 400's on it vs the 300's? It's hard to really tell by watching the video and not knowing how the boat is trimmed out, but it does look like the stern sits fairly low at idle and bow is being carried fairly high while at speed. With that said, it looks fast in those calm conditions!
