I would like to answer these questions.
1) We have a stock Turner ( Cut Down ) that we fit on every Mid. it does not come off the CNC untill the Turner fits. The Turners are also casting and do differ from each other we will try and make adjustments on this issue.
2) Not sure on same depth but all holes are decked and the under cut is the same depth for mounting bolts. There can be differences in Casting to the overall thickness but not for the mounting bolts. The under cut allows for the flat washer to sit flat to make sure the motor is bolted correct.
3) I am not sure why we still have the issue with the M8 bolts being to long. We have made adjustments at least twice to stop this problem but unfortunately it happened again. I can assure everyone this problem will never happen again because i am going to make sure the program runs the M8 Tap at least 1/2'" DEEPER. This is all done on a CNC Machine and should not happen.

Just for information, we send mostly all new hardware with each mid. this is what we upgrade on our hardware.
1) (2) Bolts we use a Stainless Steel 5/8 Bolt to be machined for the lower Yoke Studs into the Mid section and inset the bolt about 1/4" and we turn it to a M14 shoulder and thread for the Lower Yoke.
2) (6) Bolts we will use a Stainless Steel 5/8 Rod that bolts to the top of the mid. and machined down to a 3/8 Shoulder and 3/8 Thread that will mount the wing plate to the mid.
3) (4) M12 Bolt and a 1/4" inset these bolts are almost twice the length as stock bolts. These bolts are for the main gearcase bolts, and they have a shoulder for the gearcase, they have stock M12 thread for mounting the gearcase and use the stock Nuts.
This Upgrade Hardware can be done to a stock mid. it would have to be taken apart and shipped to us and we can make the changes and ship back.
Please get with Todd D and handle the details.
I would think everyone would agree that our hardware is a serious upgrade.

Johnny,
Just to be clear we are very happy with the mids and cut our own tuners based on what Todd told us. This may be why there was a slight difference. Doing this for the first time is always a learning experience for us.
I believe Bob did receive some sort of bolt kit from you as well.
One other suggestion that would help in not holding up a swap over would be for you guys to have 15" shift shafts done that someone could swap out with a 20" and pay whatever you all feel would be a fair charge. These could be sold with the mids. As you know we cannot put the powerhead on until this is done also.
They finish work you guys recommended was awesome as well as very reasonable! The more of these that get done the better I am sure the product will be. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Ron
