Skate, going from a 15 to 18 rake, what are you expecting to gain?

Should produce more bow lift with the 18 rake.

FYI the props are the same for the 300xs/300x and 400r. Shaft size is the same as well as the nuts.
No difference.

Including the barrel diameter on the thru hub models for the 400's?

Far as I know yes. I have run props that have been on 400r’s from Dewald and as Jim ran a set of my 32’s.
The 400r’s have the ring on the back side of the gearcase that sort steps down the diameter and were the exhaust comes out.

Hey All, Would be great to know what heights Jim is running with each specific prop. The Mercs and Dewalds.

I ran Ron’s 32 Dewald’s @2.375” up, 13 psi wp, between rain storms, tropical storm Alberto. Garmin max speed said 118. About 78 degrees, with the wind. I ran Skates 32 x15.25 same height, hot 94 degrees, 3 people, 60 gallons, 23 psi wp, 114 mph. Now I have raised engines to 2.625”, set tow out .125”, trimmed water damns to memic DW. Will run it soon. But it’s hot and humid.

Hey Jim, Hope you had a great Summer. Just wondering how you ended up. How you did with your quest for speed and where you ended up from an every day use stand point. Top speed is one thing but I opted to back off on my heights a bit for a while as it made the boat much less temperamental from a water pressure temp standpoint. Hope all is well. Maybe see you at the races this fall in Key West.
