Sorry to hear it is taking so long. In the end, I am sure it will be worth the wait! From the pics I have seen recently, you haven't skipped a beat at boating! Hang in there ZP!
|
Yep there's a definite instant gratification piece to buying used but when the build is over and your the only person to have ripped the new boat across the bay hopefully the wait will have been worth it or at least a memory that you can get past. I agree though the boat building / maintenance industry seems to have no understanding or even concept of deadlines and it's super frustrating for those of us that are used to having to meet them or deal with penalties, in the marine industry the penalty for being late is generally they get to add on additional costs and make more money...

Well, here we are a month later. 2 months at the interior shop, still not done. Unbelievable to me, I am an industrial electrical contractor, your Cement Plant is down, it’s costs $45,000 an hour for downtime, when do you want it running again? One month, two months, 3 months. Nope, they want it all, and they want it NOW. That’s when they get it to, NOW. There is absolutely no sense of urgency in the Marine business. I will always buy a used boat in the future. |
Update: Progress is being made and the end is near! Stay Tuned all |

The interior is done, it’s a beautiful job. Exceeds my expectations. Boat is home. Now sea deck, graffics, and props.

Happy for you bud! What a struggle but glad it turned out great. Can’t wait to see it in person. |

Wow!
|
Looks great Jim! :Score-101010: It was worth the wait...... :)
|
Looks great, congrats to one step closer. Nice thing is at this point you can throw some props on (I'm sure there's a set laying around somewhere) and start enjoying it while you wait for the rest of the items to get finished up.
|
Beautiful! Can't wait to see it in person!

.
absolutely marvelous "...good things come to those who wait..." . . |
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...4146b9c9b.jpeg First Run right off the trailer, rev limiters working. |
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...9ab14481b.jpeg Sea Deck installed today, they did a great job |
|
The swim platform, stairs in the back seat, and sea deck to get to the rear are a must for us. The rear of a 308 is a curved slippery slope. |
Awesome boat and extremely well thought out...Enjoy!
118 right off the trailer.. how much more do you think it has or is the rigging set-up just about perfect (as in not much improvement without sacrificing something for extra mph)? needs running shots! |
are you running the Merc Cleavers?
I really like what you did for the transom swim access. Looks great!! Beautiful ride!!! |
5 blade hubbed Dewald loaners, a little small, , mercs 5 blade cnc cleavers on the way |
Looks good buddy See you soon! |
Boat looks fantastic! I really like the seadeck across the rear hatch. Our 308 is a pain to enter from the swimstep, we typically use rubber backed rugs.
|
Boat came out great....
|
Congrats on new build. Hope you have many hours of safe and Happy boating.

Awesome boat Jim !!!!! congrats:Score-101010:

well broken in by now I would imagine LOL.. looks awesome!! let us know how the cnc props compare to the others you ran.

Yellow boat in back an Argo?
|
Yes |
Give us a comparison of the side by side run 300X's and the 400R's...
|
ktron, what is the status with your 36?
|
Great numbers. What size were the Dewalds. What size Merc cleavers are you having shipped in.

It is still being tweaked with engine height, and water dam length. Love it, big boat compared to the 28 I loved. The 400R is cool, power is strong 5000-7000. Now to play. |
Your graphics turned out perfect, congrats. Crazy how much bigger our 308s are compared to 28s especially when it starts to get spotty. Hope you have a ton of trouble free hours on the water.
|
Great Job Brother! Boat is awesome and looking forward to running more together in the future!
