Big Poppa after wrapping it up the new size of the hatch is 65"X 65"X4.75".
OK now here is what I have to say about my Skater. My 24 has twin 1997 225 Promax motors.I spin 34" Merc 4 blades at 6350rpm for a speed of 102.5.I need 32" Merc 3 blades.I cant seem to find any that I can try.I'm going to try some 32 3 blade cleavers in a couple of weeks.I think that's hard to beat. Some of the 24 Skaters with 240hp Mercs don't even see 102.If you have 280hp Mercs on a 24 there is no reason why it should'nt go well over110mph.

Put one(24') together for a good friend. Twin 2002 2.5's running 14.5x32 labs at 8200 rpm. Ran 116.1 on gps with 2 peeps on board and 40 gals of fuel. Had a little help in the engine dept. from Marty and Joe at Diamond Marine(mind you..internal work was very, very mild). The boat was shipped to Venezuela where it won the Orinoco river race last year. Hopefully I'll have it back this year for some more refinements....

Does anybody know how fast aSKATER will run with two WAL-MART paddles for power. Thats all BIG POPPA has for power so far. BIG POPPA you need to worry about keeping up with that GLASTRON this summer. He's going to be looking for you this summer.

Hey there big poppa....they did some porting, re-balancing, cylinder comp. was raised a little(they have 96 octane in Venezuela)and they're own secret magic which I don't even know. We forgot to send them the tuners , so those will be modded this time around. It took them about a month to do both powerheads. Then they were broken in on their dyno... cost about $3000 each when all was said and done(well worth it). Engines are on CMC manual jack plates setting about 1-3/4 inches above the bottom. The best part was getting the ecu's to release the rev limiters and let the engines make power. It took forever....then all the sudden Bam...you bury the tachs!
ps. I found a pic of the boat on an old puter I had in here...maybe I'll post it up later.
