merc 14.5 X 30 around 7000. i want to go up to 32 or 34's and drop rpm's and pick up some speed. if i trim it out i get 104 or 105 but at neutral to negative trim i get mid 90's

Is that GPS or radar confirmed or speedo? Because thats pretty dam good!
How are you getting 7000 rpm out of 225 promax? My 1997's rev limits are at 6800. |

It is on a hand held GPS. I bought the motors as short blocks, and took all my 2.5 carb components off and put them on the 225's. Therefore, there are no rev limiters. Keep in mind I do very little WOT running. I mostly cruise in the mid range...60-80. More often than not I am at the 50 to 70 range though. Thanks for the kind words. Several OSO members have been out with me in the on multiple occassions, GLH, Tantrum, Hot Boat, excavator, Miller etc etc. |
