Awesome boats guys, wish I could afford a bigger Skater.
Here is mine, 1987 21 Skater 300 Pro Max
Kinda ugly right now, should be able to do some cosmetics in the next couple months

Hi Ray, how are you?
Propster,, that boat looks great, I would like to find a mint 21' with either a 300PM, of 300X, what are the specs of yours?

Phillip, are you looking for specs on the boat or the motor?
The boat is in fairly good shape. The dash has a haphazard layout from different additions over the years. The guages are different brands with different color lights. The interior has no rips, but the white is yellowing. The boat could use better trim colors and some new graffics. The galvanized trailer is a little rough from the salt water use.
The motor is a 2000 300PM, not the X. The 300PM is a good motor, just takes a while to get going. Once it starts to really go, it hits the rev imiter at 6300. I think if I did it again, I would have bought a used 300X for a couple grand more. It would be nice to have more mid range and better top end punch. I think the 300X will hit 7000 rpm, allowing you to run a smaller prop for better accelleration. Also, I would get the 1.62 gear so you can run an easier to find 28 or 30 pitch prop. So far, I have hit 96.2 mph on the gps with a 34 prop at 6200 rpm. It was still accellerating, but I was testing the prop on a small lake. I held it open for as long as I could, but the shore was coming up fast. Should top out at 98-100 with the 300PM and 105-108 with a 300X.
Still pretty happy with it. I have wanted a Skater since I first saw one back in 1985 at a boat show.

Hey Propster, I was surprised to hear that you were not running the 1.62 gear
What do you have?? 1.75? 34 seemed like a huge prop, a 30 cleaver is as big as I need but I run a 28 cleaver with a couple of people in the boat.
Dropping the rest of the gauges in this weekend....I'll post a pic when I'm finished. It will be nice to get some feedback.
