Default Canopy Questions

What are the pros and cons of having 1/4 canopies on a 32 or 36 Skater?

Canopy are great if you run fast all the time. They cause distortation and are a pain when you are just hangin out or running slow.

I just bought a new boat without canopys and my boat will run 140+ I use goggels for high speed which is only 10% of my running time.

For anyone considering the choice, take a ride in both.

You'll choose the canopy boat everytime. The canopies are not that distorted and the ride with no wind on you is important when riding at any speeds.

Open cockpit boats are harder to sell for a reason, everyone perfers the ride behind a canopy.

I think it comes down to personal preference. I will never own a canopied boat because looking through them gives me a headach. I will use goggles or wind deflectors instead.

Its persoanl preference, but I've been in several 28's without canopies and one with. I'd ride in the canopy boat every time over the non canopied ones.

The wind gets old fast.
