Hi,

I have a 2004 26 Prowler and twice this past summer I had water leaking in to the V berth coming from the Step Light. Not sure where the source of the water came from but it cleared up some how that I cannot explain twice. There is what looks to be a water line running port to starboard visible when you take the step light out. I believe it goes to the head and that possibly might be the culprit? I called Sonic and they never heard of a leak from that location before. I always store it nose up too.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Signed,

Pete the Navy guy stuck in Kuwait until next boating season.

Where is this light located? At the cabin entrance or at the base of the v-berth??

If the water line you are seeing is a fresh water line then check the fittings on each end to ensure they are not leaking.

The light is located at the cabin entrance where you step into the cabin, just above the first step.

If it is the fresh water line, how do I get to the fittings on that line?

Seriously, what's the point? I read all of the posts. Is GoFastGeorge trying to piss off an OSO member, Sonic (whomever), or just the entire planet? What gives?

Just the typical a$$hole that wants to put in his/her .02 that doesn't need to be put in. I think we have more than our share here in the Sonic forum.

I also want to thank the moderators for the great job they are doing in removing these intrusive posts.

Check the T-fitting under the sink on the port side and also the T-fitting in the head. Under pressure of course. If these are secure, you might be getting water draining from the bow, rubrail, bow light, or cleats. Also , if you have a flush toilet with holding tank and not a porta-potti check the fresh water line to it too.

Good luck
Bill
