Default 525sc's in a 31 Sonic

I have a 96 31ss with 454 mags and would love to make them into 525s with those small blowers . Does anyone know if they will fit under the hatch , thanks in advance

Hey Jim,
Sorry, but don't think so. We have a 31 in the shop right now that has 502EFI/Vortechs, and they're pretty tight. A 26 with 525SC(engine lower and in the middle), just makes it.
Stop down and check it out, if you'd like!

Not a chance, just a good arrester and a highrise intake hit...I have holes from the bolt hitting the hatch. prochargers might fit.

I did not think so either but there is a 98 in the classified section with a pair in there and it says it came from the factory that way . The pic is a little fuzzy so I was hoping. I was just wondering how they did it. Maybe lowered the motors. It also says it does 85 ??
oh and by the hi Hugh

I know the 98 in the classifieds. I've driven and ridden in it. The 525sc's are from the factory. They fit with the hatch cut out, and a plate put in on the top side. When new the boat ran 89 on the Faria speedo. I figure an honest 83-84. Extremely stable at that speed.

I prefer scoops myself.

MV35 had some stainless hatch inserts for sale in the swap section. Not sure if they are still there.

thanks for the replies guys, and my wife would not like scoops either on the boat, but that is interesting they will fit, I just love the sound of blower motors, and that 98 to run in the 80's with those motors is great, any one else have 500 or so hps and what is your speeds
