Re: Chesapeake Bay Poker Run June 23-25th
As the chairman and host of the 9th Annual Leukemia Poker Run I want to thank all of you that attended and thank Sonic Boats for coming on as the ONLY manufacture sponsor of the event. Being an Original Sonic owner (Not USA) I am always happy to see my Sonic brethren and sisteren on the water.

Back to the event.

We just got the final numbers last night at the CBPBA general membership meeting. With everyone’s support and fundraising efforts we raised over $48,000 for Leukemia on this poker run. To see a short presentation on the event got to the following link.

I want to also thank Dave Bailes who was our 1st place individual fundraiser. Dave is now in his second year of remission and fights his battle every day. Dave is a club member of the CBPBA and an all around great guy.

Thanks again to all that joined in and helped us out.

Next year’s 10th Annual event will be June 22-24, 2007 and we plan to overnight at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland. This is the site of the OPA Cambridge Challenge hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association September 22-24, 2006
