Re: 35 vs 38
I have owned both a 2001 358 and currently own a 2005 386STS. Go4broke is correct about the 358 porpoising at times. The 2002 and newer 358's are less prone to porpoise. We went from the 358 to the 386 because we wanted more space in the cockpit (1 1/2 feet) and more space in the bilge (1 1/2 feet). Our 358 never had a problem with things coming loose, and so far our 386 hasn't had a problem as well. Both boats handle the big water without a problem.

Re: 35 vs 38
My 35 runs great in all kinds of water. A little tab below 4,000 RPM keeps her nice and smooth. From what I've read, coupled with my experiences with my 35 lead me to believe both boats are solid and great performers.

Re: 35 vs 38
I also have an 05 358 and with a little tab at slower speeds and a 5 bladed Hydromotive Props there is no porposing problem. The boat handles great and you just can not beat the ride, the cabin space, a stand up head, the storage space, and the walk around deck.

Re: 35 vs 38
If I didn't have my 31 to get rid of, (and if I hadn't just bought a Z06), I would buy Quiet Storm's 386. Looks awsome, fast, good price.
