2003 358 or newer
#1
I was interested in your guys thought in the Sonic 358's. I read earlier that the pre 2003 had porpoising problems. Does the 2003 and newer model still porpoise?
I currently owe a 2005 Baja 30' Ol with Ho's and want to move to a bigger boat. How do you guys feel the ride is compared to my current boat? Is the head room the same or better? Can I fit 4 adults on the back seat? What motor package would I need to see 80MPH. 82MPH is my currnt speed and I don't want to loose too much, then I would feel the boat would be too sluggish. Thanks in advance to your response.

You're going to need 525's.....the 358 is a big boat. Porpoising won't be any issue with the bigger hp. You won't be inclined to over-trim the drives in search of more speed: over-trimming being the leading cause of porpoising at cruising speeds.
