Forester,
The 42SS is a lush and MASSIVE behemoth, as you know. If you cruised the ocean, or maybe some long distance cruising where you spend 2-3 nights aboard, the 42 is worth the money and hassle. However, on a lake that at its worst sees 2-3 footers, and occasional overnighting; I think your wife will be very happy with a 37-38 foot boat with plush cabin such as the aforementioned brands. |
There is something more than elevation. 575's are computer controlled and are supposed to compensate, within reason, for altitude. His boost #'s would be low not high if it were just elevation. I would try different props.

Good to talk to you today Josh. The wheels are in motion.

Don't be surprised when Sonic dealers start going to the Active Thunder owners forum to recruit customers Brian. :eureka: Are you an OSO advertiser?

I am not an AT salesman, but I do help get folks where they want to be; ask On The Heat/Shawn about his Sunsation purchase. And also, AT advertising on OSO is in process. Thanks for keeping tabs on me. I need it; ask my GF. :D |
Sydwayz, I am doing what I want; collecting information from people with first hand experience so I can make an educated final selection for me and my family. Your time is well spent and appreciated. Speaking of education, is anyone running something other than the 28P with like HP in their 42. If I keep her I will be shooting for max cruising efficientcy in that 45-55 range.

we just built the engines for my 42 and should be running it tn the next coming weeks. I will let you know what it ends up running. Last year I was running 26's cruising around 45 to 50.
