I have a 1990 31 sonic 454 with prodhargers, merlin heads,
bored and so on dyno at 700hp each. That is a great looking
sonic I have seen it at hardy dam hot boat weekend.I have a
hard time believing 92mph unless there is more done to those
motors than you know of..I have hit 85 on gps 5400rpm 30p
props. No B.S..

A 2003 31SS is a lot lighter than a 1990 30SS. There were some hull refinements over the years, and in 2003, Sonic began vacuum bagging/Infusion process on the hulls of the 386 and 31SS. Becca48838's boat could have this newer hull layup, and would be even lighter.

This is an old post I never noticed until now. Boy it has been awhile since being on the boat but I think at 85 we are 4900-5000rpm with 32p props. We've had the props spinning outward, which we changed since then to get better handling but you could notice the decrease in speed. There are 2 boats made that I know of with the 575sci's and same options and the other one has a picture on the old Offshore posts somewhere showing 98 MPH on the GPS but that one had different outdrives but I believe the motors were the same. Could be wrong on the motors but there were definitely 575sci's with superchillers. Anyway, I don't see the need to go that fast ever so we have it for sale to get something more family friendly and smaller. It's on Ebay as we speak.

Becca, I'd love to have your boat, but would have to get rid of one of ours to make that happen. Maybe some day
