Who has what GPS units in their boats. We are lloking to replace the existing one we have with a new color unit. What do you have and what size screen ??

Standard Horizon 155C with The newer NT+ chartsthat show pictures of the marinas and stuff.

Bought it for 350 on ebay. Not top of line but wroks great and provides DSC.

Why on a 26? Boating in the Gulf is like one big puddle.

Garmin 182c, works great but at speed the screen is a little hard to read. It might be a different story on a bigger boat

Bill we use Northstar 6000i and love it. The new North Star 7000i has weather overlay using xm radio. Pretty sweet unit. Give me a call if y ou need any more info.

Can't see it in sunlight with polarised sunglasses.

It depends on the angle that you are viewing it from. I have mine mounted almost vertical and it's OK

I have seen boats where they have built a wedge behind the unit to bring it more vertical. Is this what you did?

I took off the stock plexi fairing and had one built longer and higher. That left room under the fairing to build a flat area , kind of like an Apache, to mount the GPS. I'll take a pic
