31 SS Toilet Install?
Ok one more project before the Central poker run this weekend. Our 2001 31 came with a porta potty instead of a flush head? I have looked under the Starboard side gunnel and there is a holding tank with pump out already mounted. And in the bathroom there are 2 lines already run. Looks like one is going to the holding tank and the other is for fresh water for the toilet. What I need to know is what toilet did sonic use? How was it mounted? Any body have a pic of there bathroom would be a big help. Thanks in advance for your help.

I installed an electric head, think it was the jabsco quiet flush, got it from boaters world. Just be sure to use an antisiphon valve on the hose from the fresh water tank to the toilet. It's an easy install. The model I got came in two different sizes, if I did it over again, I'd go with the larger model. Also, think about putting down lonseal rubber matting. Dresses up the area and you can color coordinate. If your in the head and open the mirror to look at the back of the dash, I mounted the antisiphon valve just to the left. I put the flush button basically same place they put them from factory. Do you have a deck mount pump out fitting mounted on your walkway? I think finding sanitation hose in my area was the hardest part. Any questions, just ask! Again, easy install.

I have the fitting already on the gunnel. Looks like every thing is there except for the toilet. Does the toilet you bought have a macerator pump built into it? Why do you need an anti siphon valve?
Thanks

The mac pumps are built into these units.
As for antisiphon, you DON'T want toilet water backing up into your fresh water system. You only need A.S. valve if your hooking up to your onboard water system.

I had to do the complete install of tank, pump out fitting, head, all hoses... was a lot of work and money but totally worth it. Installed an ac/dc frig as well along with a camper top, makes weekending much more enjoyable. Would love the AC though!
