I have been happy with mine. Not the fastest but you can run them faster than most when is gets rough. I did not put the longer tabs on mine, you can trim out the bounce. I have the 502 and I think it needs more HP. Really rides nice around the 50MPH mark but that is sort of flogging the 502 a bit in my opinion. The boat on the trailer is heavier than you might think, it puts the wood to my expedition.

i've had mine for 10 years now, don't plan on selling it, very happy with it.i put a 420 mega-blower on it with a bunch of other engine mods.one thing i've noticed is i still don't have a squeek, rattle or a stress crack and most of the time i run it like i stole it.

I looked at a couple (couldnt find "the one") b4 i got my fountain. Very nice boats with very usable room in the cabin. They do, however, need K-Planes and full hydro steering. I would rather have gotten the sonic to what I have now, but it didnt work out that way.

yeah, what was sonic thinking not using k-planes? They are std on any serious boat. I upgraded to the longer plates - quick and cheaper upgrade and they do work alot better. But they are so damn slow!
