Default Step bottem 386STS

Found this on the web site:

38 ' 2009 Sonic 38 SSH $330,000.00 e-mail
This boat will be ready in early October 2007. She will be the first of the new Sonics to have a stepped bottom. Sonic has commissioned John Cosker whose claim to fame includes the Callan race boat. John Specializes in stepped hull design for production powerboats some of Johns projects include boats running over 225 MPH and has worked with some of the icons in the high performance boating world including Fabio Bussi and Tom Gentry. The 38 STS Sonic will be the first to offer the step bottom . This will be an option so for those die hard sonic fans the traditional hull is still available. If you would like to hear more about these new and exiting hulls give us a call we are now taking orders on the new 38 Step

Basically the same boat up-top...Cosker-designed twin step bottom. Somebody just needs to step-up and order one. Sonic is known primarily for their ride quality, cabin accommodation, and safety/ease-of-operation, so that's their primary offering. If you want your Sonic to run along approx. with the rest of the current crop of step hull designs, just order one w/steps.

I don't really see anyone wanting to spend 3-400K on a boat thats never been built. I would want to drive it first. Look at Gold Digger. I still don't know if that boats dialed in. Pyburn switched to another manufacturer (skater or nortech?) after only having it a year.
Sonic needs to build a demo boat so everyone can have some performance numbers and see how it handles.

Mikebrls-
Good Luck with the baby! It's a whole different world!

Chris,
I totally agree. I don't want to the test dummy owner. But I will be the test boat dummy for a small fee.
