I am digging through some way old post here but was curious if anyone old post some before and after pics of removingtheir archs

the guy's that took off there arch , did you feel a difference in the way the boat handled ?
from the sound's of it the arch must weigh a few hundred pound's +

Can't say how the handling changes (havn't had mine in the water yet) but you are right about the weight the're HEAVY (about 175 lbs. stripped). I'm putting mine back on, like the radar, gps antenna, spot light, bimini top etc. too much to leave it off.
Of the Sonics that still have their arches, how much freeboard do they usually have in the stern?
