Default Ever seen this before?

Has anyone ever seen this before in the cabin doorway? Is it a structural issue or just cosmetic? Can it be repaired?

Look at the vertical surfaces on each side of the doorway for any signs of repair or cracking. If none are visible it might just be where the boat has settled slightly and is not a structural problem
I am assuming you are looking at a 31??

I think thats where the cabin liner meets the cockpit/upper deck. Either poor workmanship or the boat has really flexed at some point. I would be nervous about stringers cracked or shifted. Survey might be a good idea if you can find someone capable of assessing such things.

Lift the Carpet , drill a small hole in the floor ( only thru the glass not thru the foam, maybe 1/4 of an inch)
If there is water coming out ????? Problem if not ,OK

Had that on my 31 and the Bulkhead where the door sits on was shot.

Yes it's a 31. This is the only other picture I have with a different angle. Owner says it was like that when he bought it 6 - 7 years ago.

Actually, the pictures are not of my boat. I am looking for a boat and this is one that I have looked at recently.

i have been on several sonics and have never seen that before. I think that is a poor factory joint between the cabin and the cockpit ?
