Default radio controls on dash inop

Was wondering if any of you have had the radio
controller on the dash stop working. and if so where should I look to fix it ,No power when I push buttom,change stations,or change volume.The hand held remote works fine

I have been under dash and all is hooked up
Stereo i believe is a sony. boat is in storage

Chances are the remote died.you may be in luck im upgrading my stereo now so if i can get my sony remote out without breaking it your more then welcome to it.

The little Sony round remotes just die every once in a while. No way around it.

there are 2 connections on the back of the radio for the remote. 1 big plug and 1 small plug (looks like headphone jack). and depending on how far away from the radio your remote is installed, an extension is used on the big cable....so that could have come loose where the butt together.

If you can't figure it out let me know and I'll work out a deal to trade it in on a boat that has a radio control that works
