With much dismay, I have come to the realization I need to sell my Prowler.
It is a fresh water only 2002, on a Load Rite aluminum tandem trailer.
Boat came with 496 HO, I bought with 44 total hours. I didn't find that adequate, so two years ago I had new 540cu stroker motor built by Dores Marine Engines (who built engines in "Sloppy Joes", "Shakin'", and many other race boats). Motor is about 625HP, and has well under 100 hours on it.
Boat has shore power hook up, a two amp, 6 speaker stereo, plus two 15" subs. Full cover at all times, and kept on trailer in my yard, or in enclosed storage.
Trailer was freshened with new bunks, complete brakes, and (4) new tires this past winter.
Looking for $48k for it complete, and have new second cover still in box for it, as well as spare s/s prop.
THX, PM me if interested.

I've thought 70-72 was on low side myself, and know from the dyno sheets how much motor I had built, so I suspect I don't have the right prop on the boat.
That being said, I agree that high 70's is nearing the end of where I would take a 26' boat, anyway...even with the Prowler being a super-solid 26' boat.
At this point, it will be someone elses boat to play props on, as I need the cash out of it.
