Default How to remove bolsters ?

I am planning on re-powdercoating my seat frames this winter...... I have not yet investigated removal but am curious if anyone has done it already and can offer some tips. Obviously I remove the screws from the post to the floor but are the sides through bolted to the boat ??

yes the seat base frame is through bolted to the sides of the boat. mine had 3 or 4 through bolts. you need to open up the doors under the seats and get in there with a deep socket and rachet. the head of the bolts will be on the inside of the seat frame.

I'm planning to do the same but I think my seats are thru bolted through the floor?? I tried to loosen up the screws but they just seem to turn and don't loosen up. Anyone else ever had this issue or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hummmm... they may be through bolted. But how would you get to the bottom to hold the nut? That would suck if thats the issue. Mine were screwed down on the bottom and through bolted on the sides.
