Default Need Info on a Sonic 28 SS

Hey all

I need information and any History on a 1997 Sonic 28SS?.... It looks very clean and well taken care off, possibly a fresh water boat...
It comes with a High Performance Built 572 CI Bowtie block, with 71 hours.
Is this the original motor from the factory?...... I called Sonic but no responce yet. Thanks.....

Regards
PO

I dont have an answer for you. But a 572 does not sound stock from factory. I have a 99 with twin small blocks, I know they came with twin big blocks, and also a single big block. I have heard preferred power would be twin small blocks or a big single. I am curious to hear what you learn.

There were only a handful with the single engine BBC. I don't think there was ever a 572CI offering from Mercury during that vintage of Sonic so it does sound upgraded. That boat probably came with an HP500 Bulldog or some other 454/502 Mag.
