aluminum trailer on 30ss

I just launched my boat for the first time and the aluminum trailer floats has anyone else had this problem its a real pain in the a** the current was very stong and the trailer went under the dock. Any ideas how to fix it without putting about 500 pounds of weight on the tail of the trailer

Steel wheels help. There is a thread somewhere about adding weight. Do a search for it. Sydwayz did it to his trailer. My 38' trailer doesn't float, it has steel wheels.

It's been discussed many times on here before. The Search function is a handy tool for future use.

How did your boat run?

I had two aluminum trailers - one was a float on, which you have. I sold it.....I also had an aluminum trailer (with aluminum 5 star wheels) that was a drive on. I believe it is your bunks..........call Pirate marine - he is a big aluminum trailer distributer and can probably help you convert......

I burrowed a set of 21 cleaver props from a friend and the boat wouldn't hook up at all way too much wash so it'll be spring before I find out how it goes in the water. I winterized it sun and going to wrap it next weekend still need to order props.

Going to be a long winter waiting to use it in the Spring but congrats.

Yeah I really wanted to get to take it out but it started snowing sun so I figured it was time to winterize it

Mine Floats too but mine has the PCV Guide Pipes up the side so the trailer always stays under the Boat.
