Fridge Issue
Having a problem with my fridge. Works fine while on shore power but once I disconnect it will not run off of the batteries. Anyone run into this problem?
|
There might be a switch at the helm you need to turn on.
|
mine is on the "Galley Power" switch on the dash.
|
I'll try it tonight with the "Galley Power" switch on & see what happens. Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks.

There is often a fuse/circuit breaker on the back of the fridge itself. This may have tripped on you as well.

Well the Galley Power does make it turn on, or at least some noise comes from the fridge for a minute then nothing. I pulled the fridge out. Fuse on back looked fine but going to replace to to eliminate that as a problem.

Plug up the shore power and turn on the battery charger, turn on the fridge overnight and see if it remains cold. This way you won't hurt the batteries.

last year I installed a brand new norcold db0751. It worked fine for 1 year. Now it only runs on a/c. I called Norcold and was told to take it one of their agents. They offered no repair advise. The fuses at the top and rear of the fridge are fine. I did'nt want this thread to die without solutions. I'll post mine when I have one.:party-smiley-004:
