I checked mine once - included idling, cruising, full throttle, achieved 1.8mpg......full throttle was minimal......

I did an 88 mile trip on the Mississippi and cruised at 3200 RPM. I burned up 50 gals. for an average of 1.76 MPG. With twin 70 gal. tanks, I'd error on the side of caution and keep it to 200 miles.

1/3 to get there, 1/3 to get back, 1/3 reserve. Remember, I doubt you can get much more than 120 gallons into the tanks, boat tanks rarely fill completely.

I plan on refueling every 150 miles. This usually takes about 100gal.
I usually cruise at 3500RPM or about 50MPH.

I put exactly 70 gallons in each tank after running out both tanks on the water. The boat was on the trailer at fill up so it was a little more level than if in the water. BTW, mine is out of gas at a little under 1/4 tanks.

No problem Chris, proves your smarter to have never ran out of gas! I was impressed it was exactly 70 gallons in each tank. I just filled the tanks till I heard them gurgle.
