is that cheap for a new hull? What would be approx cost to finish it up?

It's pretty cheap. The trailer is probably worth 4500-5000. It would take a lot of cash to finish it. Really depends on what power and how much work you have to pay to have done. I would guess at $50K if you were carefull and used black motors. Take out 496's run around 12K each.

Alot more that 50K but you can finish it for less than building a new one!

looks like a nice project......hell of a lot better then starting with a beat up junk hull........if I didn't have my boat I would be all over that.........nice find........

I agree except that the 2003 trailer isn't worth 4500-5000 now. I bought a brand new aluminum Nextrail 10,500 triple axle in 2005 for $4500 from the factory in Ocala.

I think the shocker with this project will be the small stuff that really adds up quick. 10K bolsters/vinyl, 30K used power/drives then you need gauges/paint/misc hardware/exhaust/tabs....this boat could easily tap you for 75K and you still have a 4 year old hull w/used power and a 8 year old trailer.

Buy ICBM's 35 Motion and you would have an awesome turn key 100+ mph boat for less than you would have into this Sonic.

Exactly. Rigging get real expensive real fast. It is still a used boat. Even for free I would not take it if forced to finish it. Too much to rig it and then you are upside down on it. Just like restoring old cars it is always cheaper to buy one than to restore one. If it had interior and some rigging I say go for it.

I see your guys point..$$... but for someone who can't finance or buy a new condition boat can take their time piecing this together and have a nice boat in the end.......especially someone with the talent to do most of the work themselves......it's a good buy for the right guy.......

Ideal situation would be to buy a twin engine boat that had a fresh water wreck or trailer accident; and transfer all the parts over.
