I run the boat for a couple minutes on the hose. Then shut off the water, and drain maybe 4 feet of the garden hose. Fill the hose up with Dawn and connect it back up to the flush fitting. Turn on water and immediately start engine. Run it again until you have no suds coming out.

Have you ever opened up an engine that you have done this to? I would be curious to see the difference between a salt away and dawn.

I use Dawn.

It was heads and I believe that he's now found out that it was the ole engine builder switcharoo. Just a guess.:party-smiley-004:

Salt Away..... I use it after every time that my boat is run. It works very well. ;)
