Default direct phone # to bruce at sonic?

For years i have had great service from sonic and bruce at the factory. I could ask bruce anything about the boats and he had the answers! last week called the new "sonic " phone no. and got a women that answered. Asked a question in reference to a paint project i'm doing on my 2002 31 sonic and she said that "john" was busy with a customer and what was the question. I asked her about the clear there using when painting there boats. she answered they use all different products and she did.nt want to tell me the wrong product and be held responsible !! Why could'nt she connect me with someone like bruce that could help me? i hope this kind of customer service is the future of sonic !! I was able to get my answer from pat at active thunder who for a few years up till now was painting all of sonics boats , that's what you call great customer service !!!

Hate to pile on but my trailer builder was looking for some measurements last week for bunk placement and they were of no help.......I told him if Bruce had got the call he would have probably known off the top of his head.......Luckily I was able to get to the boat to measure things.....

Well I think I need to say sorry here, I was there at the factory last Friday and had John tied up pretty much all afternoon. I heard (I can't remember her name) talking to you since the conference room was right across the hall, and John was out back looking for a sample hinge for me and can tell you she honestly had no way of knowing. I can also tell you that in talking to John it looks like they are in the process of shifting from using one brand (can't remember which one) to all PPG products but even that wouldn't be the answer since most of the companies make several different kinds of paints and only the person that did the painting would have any idea what was used 9 years ago. The fact that you were able to track down the guy that did the paint job is pretty cool and I'm glad you were able to get the definitive answer but I'm not so sure the factory receptionist deserves a ration of grief.

I also know they are absolutely swamped trying to get boats done and out the door, they've got several that are supposed to be done and out to Desert Storm as well as MINE that should be being laid up now I think a better way for it to have been handled would have been for her to take your contact info, find out, and either call you back or have someone else contact you but again they're swamped right now so try and give em a little room.

I will also say that I have nothing but great things to say about the people there, I called on Thurs and said I was coming down the next day from VA and John took the entire afternoon to show me around and work on the details of our build, then took me and my wife to diner after we closed up the shop late that evening. That's customer service, unfortunately you may have gotten shorted a little at my expense, sorry again.

no problem , no need to explain. i love my sonic and am on my 2nd one and have no regrets . i just wish she would have offered to let me speak to bruce or let me leave him a phone message and i'm sure i would have gotten the answer. bruce over the 15yrs i've owned sonics has been an incredable wealth of knowledge and knows these boats inside and out . i hope they take good care of him.

You guys are right, Bruce does know everything there is to know about Sonic boats. When I was working on mine over the last few years I could call him anytime and he always helped me out. I used to be a fountain guy but I am sold on Sonic build quality and attention to detail.
