31 sonic cockpit

Riverboater,
I don't believe there is. I think you have to go to a 386 to see the difference in the cockpit. There is a huge difference in the cabin and the ride between a 31 and 26. Hope this helps in your search for a sonic.

I own a 31 and have been on a friend of mines 26 and there is a difference in cockpit space. While the space between the front bolsters and rear bench is tight in the 31 it is practically non-existant in the 26. Additionally the ride in the 31 is FAR superior, the 31 handles big water easily. Go 31 you will not regret it.

had a 1998 26 for 7yrs and now a 31 for 4 yrs. the 31 is like nite and day compared to the 26. the ride , handling and big water capabilities don't even compare!!! you'll be more than happy with a 31. the only reason to go any bigger would be for a taller cabin!!!

I compare the cockpit room by cooler measuments. the 26 barely fits a cooler between the back seat and bolster, the 31fits a cooler nicely, and the 35 you can turn the cooler lengthwise, and still have some room between the back seat and bolster

actually the 35 is where the cockpit starts getting pretty big. the 38 has the same cockpit space, just has more room in the bilge in front of the motors (38 came with trips as an option)

The arch isn't hard to remove, just very heavy. I think it leaves 6 or 8 holes to be filled or covered up with something.

My arch was removed before I got my boat. The previous owner used a saws all to cut throw the 4200 or 5200 that had the arch glued to the boat after removing the bolts. He did some minor damage to the treaded area so he made aluminum diamond plate covers to cover the damage an the holes for the wiring and bolts. When I bought the boat I didnt like the aluminum plate on the boat so I removed them and had them powder coated white an mounted a transom shower. I tryed to sell and give away the arch for four years till I cut it up.
