Not sure if y'all are aware but Faria has updated/imporved there fuel manager (FM) design. I purchased a chrome bezel unit from Boatersland back in March that failed. When I called Boatersland about the failed unit, they informed me that Faria is repairing all defective units for free. I just got the chrome bezel unit back as a spare. It appears that Faria has fixed the design problems they inherited from Northstar. I ordered the white bezel unit from Boatersland to match the rest of my instruments and installed it. Took the Prowler out Monday and FM worked great. At WOT (4800 RPM with Solas 4B 23P aluminum prop), two people, 70 gal. of gas and smooth water, it burns 33.8 GPH. I have not checked it against my Rinda Scan Tool fuel flow readout and changed back to the B1 22P, but plan to and then adjust.
FYI - I just had the fuel injectors cleaned and replaced the IAC, IAT, TPS and the MAP sensor, while I had the plenum cover off, before the Monday run. 502 runs and starts a lot better.
Anyone ever try a larger throttle body on the 502?
