Default Sonic cabin room specs?

In the market for a Sonic, can't believe it has taken me this long. The wifey got on my friends 31 ss and hated the cabin (go figure) my question is for the rest of the line up. I am 6' 1" she is 5' 3" and she could not stand in the 31ss. Nice boat tho

Is there a difference between a 358 and a 35ss? The 358 looks taller in pictures. Can either of us stand in the 35 sonic?

What kind of speed on a 35 with 496ho, and 500efi?

I really don't want to jump up to a 38 sonic, just because of the hassle of having a boat that size, however if the cabin of the 35 is low like the 31 I don't think I have a choice. And the deck room I am seeing in pictures of the 38 is very appealing, however just seems like a lot of boat and I don't think I want to go there.

If anyone has a 35 in the CNY area we could see that would be great as well.

Hea!! Great to see you last weekend up at the Pond..Had a great time!!

I just can not think of anyone that has a 35 in CNY..Was a guy out of syr that was a city cop but I have not seen him for years..he had efi500s in his.. Lots of 31s in the area as you know..Maybe Chris "GO4BROKE" knows of someone or I bet he would be willing to give a tour of his 38...then you will forget about looking for a 35 footer..

If I remember right the extended height came in the 353 vs the 35ss. I believe the headroom is exactly 6'1" also

Ya that was fun, wish we could had made it up earlier......damn people getting married in the summer!

You going to pirates week this summer?

From what I am reading the 358 has the cabin of the 386 but the cockpit of the 26 prowler lol.

The 31 cabin is not going to cut it, she can't even stand. Do you know if the 35ss has any headroom over the 31?

35ss is slightly taller than the 31ss. The 358 has the same cabin as a 386. The 386 has a much larger cockpit and engine compartment. The 358 has basicly the same cockpit as a 31.
If cabin height is your priority, the 358 or larger is what you want. The only speedboat with more headroom is a Black Thunder, or 50' Nortech or Outerlimits.
The cabin of the 358/386 is 6' at the base of the step. My wife is 5'2 and can walk through the whole cabin, I am 5'7" and can walk through the first 1/3, then I have to duck my head. The 42/45 has anothere inch or two of headroom.
I think there is a 358 in Buffalo, I forget his screen name. Perhaps Tony (GoForBroke) knows him.

Thanks, we will be at the second weeked of pirates, possible harbor fest as well. Besides that we are on this muddle puddle in our back yard (oneida) we call a lake.

I want to show her the cabin of yours, without her seeing the deck room. Can you leave the cover on and let us in through the hatch? hahahah 358 is my first choice so far, however there seems to be more 386's on the market, and if the price if close I will most likely jump up to that. It never ends, and it scares me that you both have "broke" in your screen names

I love my 358.....cockpit is definatly roomier then the 2004 31' I was looking at when I was searching......the 386 is definatly bigger though.......It really is no big deal though....some people climb on the deck to get sun, some lay on the pad and if I feel we need more room I throw this (see link below) off the back........boat is the perfect size for my needs......easy to trailer....crushes rough water......plenty of cabin and head for overnighting..........LOVE my 358 !!!
