01 42 Steering Question
Looking at buying an 01 42' with 500efi's. Not real familier with the Sonics just looking for a little info.
Is it common for a boat like this not to have hydraulic steering.
All of the boats that I have ever had, had hydraulic steering.
What kind of speeds would a boat like this run?
May have to ad prochargers down the road. Will this steering still be OK without hydraulic?

Seems that Sonic put Hydraulic steering on per customer request back then. My advice would be to add it especially if you have any intentions of adding prochargers.
A normal HP 500 42 will run low 70's
