Brian's 35 runs 72 with 500 efis, personally I think it has more in it. Seemed to have a lot of prop slip.

Codeman, he certainly has me for top speed, like 4bus said, I'm a low 70's boat. I do need to get my props dialed in I think, we'll be contacting BBlades in the spring for some re-work.

As of right now we have three and possibly four Sonics on Sacandaga Lake. There is another 358 identical to mine, just purple instead of blue, Jim with the 31 from Codeman and we've heard rumors of another 358 (not sure on the year) that was a late season purchase, I haven't personally seen it yet though.

Hey 4Bus...I can also vouch for the 358. I have had my 2004 since 2007 and have loved it. Along with the looks and cabin the ride of a Sonic in rough water can match that of a much more expensive Cigarette...IMO.

I did the prop slip calc and it looks like I have about 23% - 24% prop slip.

I'm having the all injectors checked next season so make sure they are up to snuff. I think they are my problem with staggering the throttles, starboard motor also starts harder which is leading me to believe I have one maybe two weak injectors. WOT is 5200 on Port and 4800 - 5100 on the starboard.

Glad they got along, they seemed to be hitting it off at lunch, that will make things easier when we meet up next year, lol.

We are definitely going to make it out your way next year, no doubt about it.

You may also want to do a load test to determine that all of your cylinders are firing correctly. If nothing else in the setup has changed (eg. new cable) it may be a plug wire off or a weak cylinder. Also, if your model has fuel valves make sure they are in the full open position and are not restricting the flow. It has happened to me a couple times and once was a plug wire off and the other was a restriction in the fuel valves. We ended up removing the valves all together and fixed problem.

Also, if you have a scan tool you can check to make sure that the computer is seeing 100% throttle when at WOT with engines off.

A couple of us have had our props tuned by a local shop in Maryland and it seems to have helped a little. They showed us the computer scan of the props before and after and it was amazing how much they were off most of which they said is like that from the manufacturer.
