What toilet system will replace a 1989 30SS

Well we decided to keep the boat and one thing we have been wanting to change out it the toilet system in it. Basically it's just older. Does anyone know what I can replace this thing with?

This carbon fiber one will work
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...classNum=50659 All kidding aside, I just did some research on a missing toilet in a 358. If you are vac-flush expect to pay 1500-3000 for the head and pump kit. Hand pump units are much less expensive. If you have an in floor flange and you need to match up.....good luck. Not as easy as it sounds, and finding a place with heads in stock to inspect is impossible. |
I honestly have no idea to tell what I have. It sucks in water from my fresh water system and has a poop grinder, you push a button and it either goes out the side or into the holding tank.

a habit of breaking. I liked the push button much better. I believe all new boats the output can only go the the holding tank. Maybe if you called Bruce at Sonic he could tell you the best replacement. |
Take it apart and check it out first. They are made by Jabsco. You can get things wrapped around the blades inside and not know it. I have a 99 and I was able to find all the parts needed to do an overhaul. They really work great when they are clean and working properly.

jabsco quiet flush... Here is an old thread with some install info. This model comes in two sizes, I had used the smaller of the two, but would have gone with the bigger unit if done over again. Waste tank is on the starboard side of the cockpit bench seat. You can see it if you open up your cockpit starboard storage compartment and look back toward engine compartment.
