Yes my boat has them by the previous owner, not sure what the gains he saw but he is on here as 45ss. I kind of question mine cuz the water inlet in the cone is so big I wonder if it's helping or not. I thought about filling it in and just using the side pick ups.

Jim I did the props and the nose cones at the same time. I was never happy with the prop work that was done. I was in the process of getting it taken care of when the big deal arose. I would say that what Jim has accomplished at 86 MPH.(with his prop rework) I would estimate almost good for 2 MPH. The best I ever got out of the boat was 84 MPH. Jim's boat was custom built for me, I personally ask Jay to raise the X dimenison as high as possible without making the boat hard to handle.

I asked because of the problem sonic has with the low ex dimensions. I know the boat needs Shorty lowers but I don't have the cash. I was hoping maybe the nose cones would help a little. My sonic is a77 mph boat on a good day but I have heard with shortys its an 82 mph boat?

I was throwing both the nose cone idea around as well as the shorty's but not sure if it is really worth the money. I have 500hp's w/ whipples and i am running in the area of 92 to 94 on gps depending on the load. What type of realistic mph gains are there with either??
