Website is relatively new and still being updated. All of the Sonic models are available.

Actually, their website used to show the 31 and now it doesn't. Given the fact that they don't even respond to their Sonic customer base, I have to assume they only want to sell high end, high cost, bigger boats.

I was talking to Bruce yesterday and he said they are still doing the 26, and 31s but there focuses right now is there bigger boats and a new Cat there working on.

Way to listen to the customer base... not.

In their defense.....we all tell these manufactures what WE want.....but who is buying new mid level performance boats? If they made a new 31 with 600sci for say $350k, would you be willing to plunk down for it to replace your ride? (BTW, I love your boat and videos)

To be honest, I shopped a long time in hopes of finding the boat that fit my boating style perfectly. The 31ss did so and currently still does. While I do not foresee purchasing a "NEW" boat in the very near future, what is the market currently demanding? Are people like me (I can't use you as an example as I don't know you) dropping 500-750k on new boats right now... sure but not a lot of them. I would think the 26-36' range would be more of a focal point for them and should be more specific to their business model unless they want to build less boats, while trying to acheive a low profit margin building a handful of bigger boats... Then again, not my company, not my money. My opinion only...

I hear ya. I really want the boat manufactures to start making new boats again as well.....however I am also not in the market to drop $400k on a new ride....so I can't criticize them for only chasing the high end cash market. Seems the high end market is the only one not struggling. As much as I love Sonics I really can't blame them.

What scares me is what is gonna be left for used boats in 10 years?

This link shows the problem with a new 30-35ft $200K-$300K boat with 525's.......................there's some bad ass boats right there, and who in their right mind would go buy a shorter, slower, boat for the same money??????? The boat styles dont change as fast as cars , where a new style is out every 2-3 years. Most of the boats still look the same as they did in the early 2000's.

+1 exactly!

The cost delta from new to old has grown out of control. And the banks at boat shows fighting for your business are gone. In the early 2000's I bought a boat new with "boat show special" 2.99 financing. The same boat a few years old was only $10k less on the used market. Good chance that I will never purchase a new boat again.
