Adding batteries to 358

I thought about going to bigger battery's but they are mounted on the sides of the hull inline with the motors The 358 is a shorter 386 and they to the 3 feet from the cockpit back. I looked at mounting another battery behind the ones currently mounted but there is not a ledge to mount the box too.

If I were going to add batteries to my Prowler, I would consider putting them underneath the passenger seat in the corners. You usually can't reach stuff stored there anyway, they would be out of the way and it would be a short wire run to tie into the OEM batteries. Plus the wire holes would be invisible and, if desired, easy to seal or run terminals through. Also a good place to mount the additional 2 battery selector/isolation switch(s). I would strongly suggest that you install AGM or Gell batteries so you don't have the acid vapor leak that lead/acid batteries have. I would also suggest that you upgrade the alternator to a larger unit.
