I have been working on a couple things since I read this thread. So far my idea is to get some lexan cut in oval plates similar to what's in the 2003+ sonics, either have the plates covered in vinyl or paint, install recessed LED's into the plates and moun them up. I am going to take one of my limo style lights off friday evening to get some dimensions for the space behind the plate. It will most likely cost a couple hundred dollars to do the whole boat. I've done A LOT of custom stereo and lighting upgrades to cars, boats and bike over the years so this shouldn't be that hard.

Thought I'd chime in and show you guys what I did on my Cigarette, actually what Lip-Ship did to replace my old, ugly cabin lights. They basically used a simple 4 LED round light and then an acrylic backing plate to cover the old hole like somebody already mentioned earlier in this thread.

Hope this helps somebody...

That's similar to my idea but I don't want to have screws showing so I'm working on something a little more tick than that.

I just saw the ones in the 35ss on the Sonic site, these are along the lines of what I want. I'm going to call and see if these can be bought.
