I have been working on a couple things since I read this thread. So far my idea is to get some lexan cut in oval plates similar to what's in the 2003+ sonics, either have the plates covered in vinyl or paint, install recessed LED's into the plates and moun them up. I am going to take one of my limo style lights off friday evening to get some dimensions for the space behind the plate. It will most likely cost a couple hundred dollars to do the whole boat. I've done A LOT of custom stereo and lighting upgrades to cars, boats and bike over the years so this shouldn't be that hard.

Thought I'd chime in and show you guys what I did on my Cigarette, actually what Lip-Ship did to replace my old, ugly cabin lights. They basically used a simple 4 LED round light and then an acrylic backing plate to cover the old hole like somebody already mentioned earlier in this thread.

I just saw the ones in the 35ss on the Sonic site, these are along the lines of what I want. I'm going to call and see if these can be bought.

anyone ever update the lights yet ? I just purchased one of these as a sample...... I'm thinking of having a backing plate made to cover old hole and update the look........
