If I remember correctly, these and a pulley change can put you near 90.
Yup, Tony P used to run 86 with this set up on 8 lbs

Actually Dano got 98 or 99 out of his 31 with tweaked 575's, sportmasters, and LOTS of dialing in.

I have Dano's old boat... Have seen 97 at best. They are not stock 575's anymore but not radical either. Running built XR's, run it like I want and never need to look back.... No worries with the setup. At 97, the boat handles like its on rails. From 50 on up, it is smooth!

But some advice for the original poster.... Stock is reliable, speed is addictive and is expensive... :-)

Drives have a recipe of AADS components in them. The have modified towers, bigger bearings, better top cap bearings, custom vertical shafts, and a few more "custom" fav's.... They live up to the abuse that lake Michigan provides. I am not a throttle man.. I am a driver. George at All American Drive Service does build a great Max Mod 4 drive...

It's a disease. You get to 80 and in no time you want more and start thinking of mid to high 80s maybe 90 and on and on.

My favorite saying on this is "If you wanna dance you have to pay the fiddler" and he ain't cheap.

Good Luck
